In the interests of transparency and to abide by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), this privacy statement describes how we, the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and the Open Access Scholarly Publishing Association (OASPA) manage data (including personal information), how it is collected, how it is stored, and how it is used.

Who we are

The Open Access Journals Toolkit is an initiative created and developed by the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and the Open Access Scholarly Publishing Association (OASPA). DOAJ is managed independently by IS4OA, a Community Interest Company (CIC) registered in the United Kingdom. OASPA is a not-for-profit foundation registered in the Netherlands.

The Open Access Journals Toolkit website,, is currently managed by DOAJ and OASPA.
